Dr. Vimal Sarup is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience specializing in Retina, Uveitis, and Ocular Inflammation.
He completed his medical education and ophthalmology residency at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by a Vitreo-Retinal Surgery fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai.
After moving to the U.S., he repeated his ophthalmology residency at the Ross Eye Institute in New York and pursued two fellowships: one in Uveitis and Ocular Immunology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear under Dr. Stephen Foster, and another in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at Valley Retina Institute, Texas.
Dr. Sarup has held academic and clinical positions at several institutions, including New York Medical College, University of Central Florida, University of Texas Medical Branch, Howard University, and Orlando VA Medical Center, where he also directed the Retina Fellowship program. He is actively involved in teaching and research and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
